Specially hardened blades rip hard drives, including chassis and platters, into small mangled shreds that cannot be reconstructed, with simple visual verification of destruction. Dual cutting chambers with clearly labeled feed slots let one machine destroy both traditional HDDs and SSDs.

Key Features

Throughput of up to 500 media per hour (depending on the material mix)

Split shredding chamber: left hopper with 30 mm blades for HDDs; right hopper with 12 mm blades for SSDs, optical media, VHS and tape drives

Also shreds floppy disks, optical discs, computer tapes, USB sticks, credit cards and ID badges

Automatic reverse when overloaded

Continuous manual feed; clear, robust On/Off and Reverse buttons

Lockable master switch; all doors and covers secured with safety switches

Shredded material collected in a standard 120 L waste bin

Technical Specifications

Model

Intimus HDD Gladiator (item 555704)

Particle size

HDD: 30 mm strip; SSD: 12 mm particle

Security level (DIN 66399)

H-3 / E-2 / O-2 / T-2

Throughput

Up to 500 media per hour*

Working width

Chamber 1: 145 mm; chamber 2: 135 mm

Motor

3.5 kW (4.7 hp)

Power

220 V / 3-phase / 60 Hz

Noise level

66 dB(A)

Waste bin

120 L (approx. 32 gal)

Dimensions (W x D x H)

1,042 x 840 x 1,679 mm (approx. 41 x 33 x 66 in)

Machine weight

540 kg (approx. 1,190 lb)

*Depending on the type of material mix.
